Aviation Safety

To ensure the safety of civil aviation for domestic and international flights, passengers are checked for aviation safety.

Control subject: hand luggage, luggage, personal luggage. Passengers who have not passed control for aviation security, or not presented for screening carry-on luggage, luggage and other things are not allowed for boarding.

The list of dangerous goods and substances that are prohibited for air transportation, according to the Cabinet decision of 12 May 2007, ¹ 723

Prohibited goods and substances

  1. Flare and signal pistols powder guns, gas canisters, which contain nervous – paralytic one, tear gas, poisonous and potent gases.
  2. Electroshock devices of all kinds, except for medical equipment.
  3. Explosive materials, mixtures and firing agents:
    • powder of all kinds, brands in any package (regardless of amount);
    • capsules for hunting cartridges;
    • capsules - detonators of all kinds;
    • electrodetonators of all kinds;
    • igniters;
    • fuses and detonation cords;
    • detonators and fuses to the munitions;
    • ammunition of all kinds;
    • training and simulation munitions;
    • TNT, thick, dynamite, ammonal, RDX, other explosives, military and industrial use, improvised explosive mixtures, filled with that substances;
    • fireworks: rockets signaling and lighting, falshfeyery, planting bombs, thermal matches, demolition matches, firecrackers, sparklers, fireworks, pyrotechnic household and similar to these items and homemade tools and products
  4. And liquefied gases are constrained to domestic and industrial use - propane - butane, nitrogen, neon, argon, oxygen, chlorine, except those carrying medical teams to provide emergency assistance for people.
  5. Flammable liquids - gasoline, kerosene, acetone, methanol, methyl ester, brake fluid, carbon disulfide, ethers, organic solvents. All kinds of adhesives and sealants thatcontain flammable ingredients.
  6. Incendiary solids:
    • substances, which under the action of water and heat can ignite spontaneously: potassium, sodium, calcium metal, their alloys, calcium, phosphorous and substances with similar properties;
    • phosphorus, white, yellow, and other substances classified as incendiary solids;
    • dry industrial nitrocellulose and wet colloid irrespective of the content of the solvent.
  7. Toxic and potent substances:
    • toxic and potent substances in any physical state is not dependent on the nature of quality packaging;
    • brucine, nicotine, formalin, antifreeze, ethylene glycol, mercury, and cyanide agents, cyclone, tsianplav and substances with similar properties.
  8. Corrosives:
    • Inorganic acids - hydrochloric, sulfuric, nitric and their compounds;
    • hydrofluoric acid;
    • alkalis of all kinds - potassium, sodium, and similar to their chemical compositions;
    • pickling preparations for metal, bleach, electrolyte battery and a substance with similar properties;
    • chemicals for removing paint and varnish.
  9. Radioactive substances and materials of any degree of potential risk, forms of manufacture or the physical condition and physical properties.
  10. All other substances, preparations and objects that fall under the properties listed above, as well as those on which the manufacturer distributes special conditions of storage, transportation and use that raises doubts about the safety of their transport, as such, that can be used for explosion, fire or implementation of security threats to life and health of passengers and crew members of the aircraft.

Objects and substances permitted for carriage in baggage

  1. Firearms (including military, hunting, sports), air, gas guns, pistols and revolvers designed for shooting cartridges equipped with rubber and similar to the properties ofthe bullets, bladed weapons of all kinds, as well as educational, emasculated, museum, souvenir, collection and sham arms in the presence of a person or entity, the relevant documents for storing, carrying and transportation of guns and pistols for spear fishing. Transportation of weapons regulated by the instruction approved by the central executive authority in the field of transport.
  2. Piercing and cutting items, such as:
    • nail clippers;
    • needles for medical injections;
    • knitting needles;
    • metal table knives;
    • corkscrews;
    • devices, and toys that simulate weapons;
    • lighters in the form of a pistol, another type of weapon;
    • subjects with blunt ends that can bring a personal injury.
