Today Donetsk International Airport needs modernization.
EURO–2012 will be taken in our city. Donetsk has the right to host the quarter-and semi-finals of this championship.
In this connection it is planned to build and place in operation the following objects:
New Air Terminal
- Total acres : 50 000 sq.m
- Capacity : 1 800 pass/hour on arrival and departure
+ 500 pass/hour during EURO–2012
New Runway
- Length ARW : 4 000 m
- Width : 60 m
Reconstruction and construction of apron
- Number of parking stands : 81
- Total acres : more than 500 000 sq.m
New Aerodrome Control Tower
- Height : 47,55 m
- Number of storeys : 2
